Innovative-IDM can source PLCs from several of our vendors, inlcluding this new Compact Controller 100 from WAGO. It combines a small-scale PLC and remote I/O, providing flexibility for use in smaller applications. Use this device to interface with other industrial devices using protocols such as MODBUS, EtherNet/IP and EtherCat. The CC100 can be programmed using Codesys 3.5 software at no extra cost.

PLC Training Houston April 20 & 21

The PLC training is tailored for those who have hands-on work experience in programming and installing PLC or PC based industrial control systems. Attendees should know about basic electronics, i.e. voltage, current and power relationships, and a basic knowledge of programming concepts.

The class will be at Innovative-IDM's training facility in NW Houston (near 249 @ Beltway).

Over a 2 day period, attendees will experience a mix of lecture and hands-on exercises which will cover the following topics:

  • Programmable Fieldbus Controller Overview
  • Ethernet Fundamentals
  • Software tools(I/O Check 3, Ethernet Settings, etc.)
  • CoDeSys(IEC 61131) programming tool
  • Code generation utilizing structured text, ladder logic, FBD's, etc.
  • Application tutorials
  • Web integration

Go ahead, ask Jeffery Miller about it. At IA, the company is divided into teams who compete each month to see who can dole out the most LEGENDARY customer service. Points are awarded for legendary acts and the winning team gets a half day off and their names on the LCS Cup.

Miller's own teammate, Michael Mueller, busted Miller's chops for not taking enough credit for customer service acts in our morning meetings this month. Miller, on the other hand, has been busy out selling Yaskawa, Parker, Omron, WAGO and other products. We'll see what happens at the meeting this morning.
