RELIEF! Obsolete Servo Controller Repaired

Our electronic repairs pro Dan Holmes received this card from a customer after he was able to fix an obsolete Jetter digital servo controller. Each controller is unique to its application in the facility, so we could not test it in our shop. After a few back and forths between Innovative-IDM and the customer, Dan had it fixed, much to the approval of a grateful maintenance team at the customer's facility.

It combines a small-scale PLC and remote I/O, providing flexibility for use in smaller applications. Use this device to interface with other industrial devices using protocols such as MODBUS, EtherNet/IP and EtherCat. The CC100 can be programmed using Codesys 3.5 software at no extra cost.

Janitor Blows Up Electronic Board with Cleaner

Our repair depot in Houston has done repair work on nearly 10,000 different part numbers over the years, including many AC motor controllers. Sometimes, our customers try to do the maintenance themselves, with sometimes disastrous results. Yet when you get notes like this from customers, you only can smile and be glad to help out. It reads, “Our cleaning help said it blew fire balls out the back when he sprayed it with cleaner.” Uh, yeah.
